Hoshiarpur, July 3 (Chief Bureau) – Disabled Persons Welfare Society (Regd.) organized a meeting in leadership of President Sandeep Kumar Sharma and General Secretary Jaswinder Singh Sahota at Maharaja Hotel Hoshiarpur to know the problems of physically challenged people and establish them in the society, in which Divyangs from different parts of Hoshiarpur district participated. On this occasion the problems faced by the Divyangs were discussed. On the occasion President Sandeep Kumar Sharma assured to solve the problems of as soon Divyangs as possible by coordinating with the concerned departments. On the occasion General Secretary Jaswinder Singh Sahota gave a detailed information about the various facilities provided by the government to the Divyangs and process of availing these facilities. Protesting on the occasion various spokespersons said that the present Punjab government had not provided any new facility to the Divyangs in the latest passed budget. He demanded that Divyang pension should be given at the rate of Rs.5000 per month and disability allowance should be given to Divyang employees / officers at the rate of Rs.5000 per month. On this occasion the office bearers of the society were re-elected including Bahadur Singh as Patron, Sandeep Kumar Sharma as President, Raj Kumar as Vice President, Jaswinder Singh Sahota as General Secretary, Raman Kant as Secretary, Amritpal Singh as Cashier, Rajinder. Singh as Press Secretary and Satnam Singh, Sukhjinder Singh, Makhan Singh, Neelam and Rajiv Kumar as Executive Members. Special guest Ravi Kant Gupta was honored on the occasion. A large number of Divyangs comrades including Rajinder Singh Emma Mangat, Sandeep Sehgal, Satnam Singh, Raj Kumar, Sukhjinder Singh, Raman Kant, Makhan Singh, Rajiv Kumar, Parminder Singh Ramdaspur, Neelam Rani, Sapna Mohan etc. were present on the occasion.
